Nate Demars

Nate Demars is the Executive Director and Head of Clinical Operations at Aktis Oncology. Nate brings 15+ years of clinical research experience, where he has been involved in various stages of drug development across a range of therapeutic areas and treatment modalities, including small molecules, gene and cell therapies. Most recently serving as Sr. Director of Clinical Operations at Neogene Therapeutics (acquired by AstraZeneca in 2022) as the operational lead for a KRAS mutant-targeted T cell receptor therapy for solid tumors. Prior to Neogene, Nate served as Sr. Director of Clinical Operations at Alaunos Therapeutics (formerly Ziopharm Oncology) overseeing all operational facets of a Library TCR-T Cell Therapy program for solid tumors. Nate earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of New Hampshire and a Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Connecticut. When he is not working, Nate enjoys spending time with his family, staying active, playing golf and skiing.
